Hey, I'm relatively new here. I was curious about the adventures and trips this site has to places like San Francisco. If anyone has gone on any of these trips or knows any information about them they could tell me, it would be appreciated. Thanks!

What would you like to know? I can tell you anything you like about the CWD Adventures.

In summary, the idea was to meet the needs of older teens and young adults, a group that now includes my daughter Marissa (age 18, freshman in college). CWD's conferences (see www.childrenwithdiabetes.com/activities/ (http://www.childrenwithdiabetes.com/activities/)) are more geared toward the needs of families, and I felt that we (CWD) should also have activities that would appeal to young adults. CWD Adventures thus was born.

Activities for 2006 will include:

A teen weekend in Boulder, Colorado, with hiking and outdoor activities (weather permitting)
A teen soccer camp at the University of Santa Clara
A young adult (18+) weekend in San FranciscoDetails are online at www.cwdadventures.com (http://www.cwdadventures.com).

I am 20 years old and in college right now. I was just diagnosed with type 1 diabetes over the summer. So I guess I am just looking to learn as much as I can while also meeting and learning from others with diabetes. I am wondering how one would go about signing up for the young adult adventures and what exactly I would be doing on the trip if I went. Thanks!
