Has anyone ever had a problem with the lcd screen fading? We are experiencing this, screen is barely visable, but all other functions working fine. Battery was replaced last week.

Of course this is happening on a holiday and Animas actually has a heart and gave their employees a day off:D

Just curious if anyone else has had this problem...

This did happen to a friend's daughter's pump. Animas replaced the pump pronto!

Hi-
This happened to Adyson's Animas pump at least once. (This was a couple of years ago-she has a minimed now.) They replaced it within a couple of days. If I remember right, everything else worked fine. Hopefully they can get a new one to you pretty quickly--even with the holiday. Maybe you can call your local rep tomorrow.

My son's LCD didn't fade, but it appeared to shatter. I could only discern part of the characters at the upper portion of the screen. I could figure out enough to be able to download the readings before returning it. The pump worked fine, you just couldn't tell what it was doing.

My son just went back on shots for two days. Our rep and clinic are in another town, so the logistics of getting a loaner are a hassle.

I am sure they will have another one in mail tomorrow -- I don't know when delivery will be.

Any chance you can call your pump rep and get a loaner arranged?

Pump is working fine, just having trouble at times seeing lcd. Animas is open tommorow, so I figure we can get to the bottom of this. Because of the transition from the buy out, I don't think we have an area rep anymore. But, Animas is great, so I figure we can get to the bottom of this asap.

Wendy, I hope you can figure it out. Have you tried changing the contrast to see if that helps? I hope they get it fixed.

Well, we're getting a new pump. The contrast won't set back to the defualt so Animas doesn't want to take any chances. We'll have a new one tommorow.:)
