It's done....It's done. We're pumping!!! With all the information that I've read, it took up an entire 30 minutes for training. Period. She asked a question and i answered it. After about 30 minutes of that, Vincent inserted the quickset all by himself (no emla cream) said ow ow ow, and then ran off to play with the dog some more. But, I didn't pass out from anxiety. Peice of cake. Now that the easy part is over. :p

Myranda, That is so awesome! Between the first training session last Friday and the follow-up and insulin start yesterday, we were there a total of 5-1/2 hours! Well worth it though. Last night for us went great, even though I was up every 2 hours to check. Hope tonight goes well for you too!

Congrats! I hope it goes that well with my dd. She's afraid of everything.
We're working on getting one already and my dd has only been diagnosed for a week. You'll love it.

Thank you everybody. I still can't believe the stuff that these kids go through. It makes me sad and appreciative all at the same time to think. They're much more resilient than us. And he's just happy to have a pump. (which of course is the sad part, that he has to be happy about a pump.) I dunno. Last night was not as awful as I would have expected. Went to bed at 186, did a little bit of bouncing around, and woke up at 103.
