I am so tired of having pain. I have been fighting a summer cold on and off for weeks. I'll feel fine for a few days and then be clogged and my throat scratchy again. And then I'll get a headache or a migraine. Sometimes for multiple days in a row.
Today I woke up with a huge pain in my back. I used to have these a lot but we got a new bed and I've been sleeping so much better, so this one is surprising me. Its pretty painful and its now triggered a headache (it doesn't take much to trigger a headache for me).
I envy those that said they have only had one or two headaches in their life. I have at least one a week and with suffering from the cold I've had for the past few weeks and now this pain, I feel like I've had some kind of pain almost every day for a month!
Its tiring!

I'm sorry you feel crappy:(
Have you thought about getting your back checked out? There might be a cervical bone which needs 'tweaking'.

I feel your pain. I had a car accident back in April and am still suffering from very very bad headaches 4-5 times a week (i'm even medicated)

I forgot about something else that helps me at times if you don't like taking medicine. If you have any icyhot take some and rub it on both your temples make sure you don't get it to close to your eyes and then where the dent is in the back of your head and neck meet put some there.

Do you think that cold could be allergies? I know a cold that hangs on that long is usually something else, maybe a sinus infection. It is a misconception that you have to have a really runny nose to have a sinus infection. Being all clogged up is also a symptom of an infection like that.
I am sorry that you are feeling so miserable.

I hadn't thought about a sinus infection. I've had them before and they are usually pretty painful but maybe this is just a "hanging on" one. It certainly explains the sick, not sick, sick, not sick. Ugh!

Nancy, I wonder if it is allergies because I've been feeling crappy for a couple of weeks now myself and I have had a headache that won't go away! It is VERY annoying! :(

I had those same symptoms for about a month and a half. I finally went to the doctor, and I had a sinus infection and ear infections, plus seasonal allergies. I just finished my antibiotics and I feel a lot better. I hope you find some relief - fast!

I was wondering if maybe you think its a sinusitis thing? Do you have any sudafed? I'm on Levaquin (antibiotics), sudafed and tessalon for a coughing sinus thing that turned into bronchitis because i let it go too long. before i started the sudafed, i was having terrible headaches. I hope you feel better starting VERY SOON....

Hi Nancy,
I have chronic sinus problems and can have lingering, even daily headaches (horrible, eye-hurting headaches) as an after-effect of a cold. Allergies (still prime ragweed season) can also trigger them. Often I get more "inflamed sinuses" than a full-blown infection but it can still really drag on and make you feel crappy. Worth looking into?
One test: if you bend over, does your headache feel a lot worse? That's from the extra pressure on already-inflamed sinuses.
