Just got off the phone with her. She said to let you all know that she's going to be out for a few days. Madison IN got hit pretty bad. She has structural damage to her house and said her chimney is falling in the house. They are without phone and electric and are on a boil order. It's looking like they'll be out of power until this weekend. Schools have been cancelled as well.

Thanks for the update! I feel so bad for everyone affected. We had Isabel come thru a few years ago. The only damage we had was a tree (huge) down in the front yard and fortunately it didn't hit our house. But we were w/o power for 7 days (and dark nights!) It wasn't horrible but it was a pain. Fortunately some neighbors got power back sooner than us and we got ice from people and took showers and all but it was tough. (The refrigerator and freezer were very clean that week...since they were empty!)

The damage has been pretty bad. Schools have been out for two days in Louisville, KY, which is right across the river.
Tell KitKat we miss her and hope everything comes back online shortly. I know where she is: we did a revival team in Vevay back when I was in college. The sheer drops to the Ohio river are spectacular.

I'm sorry to hear the news and hope that all will be well too. We got a lot of rain here in Monticello on Sunday due to remnants of Ike but we obviously didn't get nailed like other counties north and south of us did. A co-worker was telling me today that many of the main roads and highways in northern Indiana leading to Chicago were still closed due to flood damage.

What's weird is we didn't get any rain, just the wind with gusts 60-70 mph!
