Speaking of sneaking food- ug. This morning I was in the shower and when I came out I found Colby sitting happily on the floor drinking his emergency juice box. During the 5 minutes I was showering (I left him calmly watching the Muppet Movie) he somehow climbed up onto the dining room table (which up until now has been a good spot to put things we didn't want him to touch- ha ha:mad: ), unlatched his diaper bag, got out the juice, OPENED UP THE STRAW WHICH WAS WRAPPED IN PLASTIC, put it in the juice box, and had finished 3/4 of the box by the time I saw him. Good grief. I gave him a correction bolus which apparently wasn't nearly enough since my parents called me at work 90 minutes later to say he was at 535. I thought we had a few years before this kind of thing started happening!

Yep it happens. There's a ongoing thread about this right now. It gets better the older they get. Least thats my experience. After about 2 I rarely have to repeat myself in that area...unless of course it's halloween candy that's callen em:cwds:

Oh No!!! I hate it when that happens! He's one resourceful little guy, you should be proud of that!;)
Emma found a pop tart in her brothers room this morning, (don't ask, I have no idea why it was in there:rolleyes:). She had a huge bite in her mouth and said, "Emma eat pop tarts too!" Ugh! I wasn't sure how much she had eaten, but I "guesstimated" a bolus to cover the extra carbs.
At least they aren't actually sneaking it yet, just finding it on their own!

William once found an apple juice in the fridge one morning before breakfast that we had used the night before to treat a low before bedtime. He promptly drank the whole thing. It was in a cup with a straw and it took me a second to realize what he had done - ugh!
Like in what other house would drinking a half cup of apple juice be an emergency!:p

We never used the term "sneak" with respect to food. We did acknowledge that sometimes one may have forgotten to bolus or underestimated etc. Be careful with labels.
