We have had a lot of trouble with the Freestyle Flash Code 17 test strips -- Lot number 0807722. Sometimes when we put the strip in, an error comes up immediately and says try a new strip. Sometimes we'll get to the blood icon and the strip won't suck in any blood at all. Sometimes it will suck in the blood and then the darn error will come up. I'd say at least 1 out of every 3 strips is bad.
We went through 3 vials (alternating w/Code 13, a different lot # too) and figured out that it's all the code 17 ones that are bad. It's NOT the meter (cozmonitor). Code 13 is perfect, no problems at all.
So I called Freestyle people today and they are replacing the 3 vials we went through already. I had JUST gotten my next month's shipment of 550 test strip from A+ today (for me and Carson) and they were ALL the same Code 17 and same lot #. So I asked her on the phone, well, what do I do with the 700 test strips now at home with that same code and lot#? She said, well, call us if they turn out bad, too.... GRRRR, I don't want to have to wait until I go through them each one by one and find out they're bad too.
Has anyone else had this problem with code 17 and this lot??
