......because she'll leave the keys in the ignition and her purse on the front seat......with the windows down.....and wonder why her car and/or purse are gone? Along with the 200 CDs.

But sad thing is, it's the truth!! People do that all the time. They just don't get it-lock your cars and don't leave valuables inside!

OMG is your daughter related to my daughter??? she doesn't drive or have a bike but she gets EVERYTHING stolen. She rolls her eyes when I say "sarah, do NOT take your ipod to school". or "sarah, do NOT take your camera to xxxx" and no, she will NOT get a car.

You know, when we were down at UVA a couple of weeks ago for Cam's pump start, there were a gazillion bikes parked out front of the hospital, and I commented on it because I thought it was great that people were riding more bikes. Then I noticed that not many were locked! :eek: Being a native New Yorker, I found this quite funny. Even when I was 10 and would ride my bike to our local Woolworths (yes, I'm showing my age here!) I would always lock my bike. And back then, the piece of crap I rode was probably worth less than the bike lock! :D
