We're currently using normal saline to dilute my 3 y/o nephew's Novolog in his pump. (Novolog 1:5 Saline)
It seems that there are some distortions in the onset and potency of the insulin because of the dilutant.
Is there any specific kind of dilutant for novolog?
Any other suggestions?

I have not heard of a diluent for Novalog. Lilly makes a diluent that works well for its insulins.

I had heard Novolog could not be diluted as well.

I know your family is trying to do their best in dealing with your nephew's diabetes. Because your nephew's insulin is already being diluted with saline, your family is willing to try different ways to deal with the diabetes.
I am pretty sure you are looking for other mavericks in finding a diluent for Novolog, but I am not sure you will find one.
I am sure you saw this on the novalog site, as you get around on the web:
http://www.novolog.com/NovoLog_Prescribing_Info.pdf
Insulin Pumps: When used in an external insulin pump for subcutaneous infusion, NovoLog should not be diluted or mixed with any other insulin.
Your experience is proving this to be true. It sounds like diluting Novolog with saline is not a good idea.
Your nephew must not need much insulin if 1/100 of a unit is too much.

Have you thought about switching to Humalog? Last time I checked (about 7 years ago), there was a diluent available for Humalog. I used Humalog diluted 1:1 (thereby making U50 instead of U100) for about 6 months in my first pump as we struggled to get my basal rates right.

Thanks every body.
Thank you Amy for the link.
Thanks Becky for the suggestion. Yes, my sister already suggested to use Lispro(Humalog) because there is a dilutant for it.
BUT,
Somebody from Novolog called me a couple hours ago from Greece. He said Novonordisk rep. in iran will hand the dilutant to our pedi-endo soon. He said there IS a dilutan for Novolog made by NovoNordisk.
