Hello from Germany,

our daughter Kiki (16 years, Type 1) is on the way to USA by next week, being an exchange student for one year.

She`s going with YFU.

Unfortunately YFU has not found enough families yet where she could stay with.

Is there anywhere in this forum interested to have a trustful new family member for next year?

I'm thinking the poster is asking if anyone here is interested in taking her daughter in thru this program. I personally am overwhelmed w/ a new dx...and I'm not sure hubby would agree but it'd be interesting to hear how this works out. :cwds: I hope someone here can help!

I've sent a message to my son's endo to see if he knows of any families who might be interested. He's had extensive experience with exchange situations (we bring kids from Russia and Lithuania every summer for our camp) and I believe has had personal experience with YFU. If he has any suggestions, I'll let you know. Hope it works out for Kiki
