I was thinking of doing a party/bbq type thing for the sole purpose of fundrasing .. I've got to get going on this, and fast! but not sure how to go about it.. just send out invites to everyone? not sure how to do the fundraising part though.. have like a 'cover charge' for it.. put all the money towards the walk.. any ideas??
also, I want to do new t-shirts.. I thought about getting plain white, and then maybe at the fundraising party would could tie-dye them?? I think it would be lots of fun.. just not sure WHEN I'd do it,really, I should have thought of this already and should be doing it like, now.. but I didn't.. so I thought maybe at the beginning of sept..
any thoughts??

Hey Kim!
Thinking it would be acceptable to state on the invite a $10 (or whatever amount) donation per family. Making the t-shirts together sounds like a blast! Just get busy and before you know it the party will be planned with people on their way:cwds:

OOH, you could have games where the party goers can get quarters to toss into things for prizes. They could vote for something like the best pet photo by putting a dollar in a cup for each vote. Have some friends donate some nece things for a silent auction.
I am on a roll here.....

would it be OK to have everyone bring white shirts for the tie-dying part.. I don't want to have to pay for all that.. and then how do I get the info on the shirt.. thats my only problem.. i was going to have them made white with all the info, and then tie-dye them.. but if I have everyone bring their white shirt.. how the heck do I do the info??
I bet we could do a silent auction type thing with some great gifts

Wherever you have the event see if you can get a moonbounce company near you to donate a moonbounce. That would raise money as well. The kids love them. We use to own our own and would donate for a cause for free.
I think the tie dying is a neat idea also.
Also do a silent auction that is always nice.
Would you be doing this at your house or at a pavillion at a park? I think this is a great idea. Also you can do a cake walk since you do make cakes.. They do this at my daughters school, they win goodies..
