Hi,

Any Macintosh users out there? I'm looking for Mac-compatible software to track BGs, meals and insulin doses. Nothing fancy, but something that would do some basic charts and averages would be great. I did a big search yesterday and found two -- a freeware and a demo -- and neither worked. (one program was changing the numbers I input -- a bit scary! -- and the other wouldn't even install).

Anyway, grateful for any leads...

I'm a Mac user! Heehee! yay! Anyways, yeah, I do have some GREAT software - though it's not as cool (in my opinion) as the One Touch software that I can sync with my meter - but it still gets the job done. Unfortunately I am not at my home computer right now and will not be until tomorrow night. But I can get it for you then - it's completely free, so don't worry about that.
Hope this helps.

OOOOhkay. Sorry that took me so long to get back to you on that - here's the site: http://www.stupidfish23.com/insulindiaryx/

Now, I don't know what version of mac you're currently using, we've got the mac mini - but it also is running on OS 10.3 - I don't think this software will run on anything less that OS 10 - but you can try if you're using OS 9
Sooo, yeah. I hope this helps, and I'd love to answer any questions!

Thanks Beth,

I do have a question -- because I had found this before and downloaded it and it seemed just what I was looking for EXCEPT -- I had it on a regular (12-hour) clock, and it insisted on ordering the entries by time so 7:30 breakfast came after 6 oclock dinner and then 9 pm snack came before 12:30 lunch so...

the site you sent me to looks like it might be a newer version so maybe those bugs are worked out. I'll give it a try!

Has anyone tried the PC emulation software that runs on Macs to see if diabetes software works under it? That might be a solution.

Yeah, and actually - it doesn't work as well as everyone would like it to. It slows the computer down sooooo terribly that it's not worthwhile using, in my opinion. So, yeah, great suggestion - just not my personal choice.;)

I downloaded from the above link and saved to my desktop, but when I click on it it asks me to choose an application? Any help or other programs known for a mac would be greatly asppreciated. I have a brand new MacBook Pro so it should be able to run anything compatible with a mac. Thanks!
