help with Dexcom CGMS insurance claim

Hi,

I am a juvenille diabetic for past 24 yrs. I have coming to this site often to read everyones experiences but have never posted anything till today.
I am Animan 1200 pumper and also have recently started usuing Dexcom CGMS for past 2 months.


Yesterday I learned that my insurance i.e. Guardian has applied my
Dexcom claim to my out of network deductible.

The rep from Dexcom said that since Dexcom is not 'covered' by my
Guardian, it is reasonable for them to apply the claim towards my out
of network deductible which is 1000$ .

The rep said that Dexcom partners with only 3 insurance companies to
not qualify itself as out of network . The insurance companies are :
1) Select Health
2) Health partners
3) Physcian Partners(?)

This seems very weird to me.
Does this mean that only those of you whose insurance was one of the
above ever got their claim approved ?

Why didn't Dexcom give this information at the time of my purchase ?

Am I missing something here ?

Any insight will greatly help

Our family has "tri-care military coverage" I have applied for Dexcom repeatedly and been denied. The dexcom rep was wonderfully helpful, but I am left feeling that THERE MUST BE SOME WAY to get a CGMS covered by our insurance. Very frustrating. . . .
