My 12 yr old daughter has had diabetes for nearly 6 yrs. You'd think I would be a pro by now, but it's just on-going learning and adjusting, especially now with puberty. We are struggling with high blood sugars and constant insulin adjustments. Everyone else seems to have it together, I have NEVER felt good at this.
I would love to meet other parents who understand this struggle of balancing life with diabetes.

Hi and welcome!

Post any questions and you'll get tons of great advice and info, along with amazing support. This is the best way to learn, I think.

Hello! Well... I am a type one who got diagnosed at the end of puberty and my little sister was diagnosed at the age of four and now sixteen. I know first hand what it's like and what makes your blood sugars go up while your going through it (but everyone is a little different).

I'm always here to chat if you like. My mother also is around to talk to. She used to be with this site but now just offers help on some other one. But she says to tell you if ever want to chat you can message me and i can give you her email! Always something new to learn though. So don't stress. I grew up watching my little sister and now having I still have much to learn. As well as my mother and sister. There is always something new. So don't stress.
