ITs the small momments that make us the happiest.
Yesterday I had to go to my M-I-L's house and she had a ton of halloween candy out. She asks if i want to take any home to the kids, which i didn't they can wait until they see the grandparents. My F-I-L asks my M-I-L " did you get that sugarfee stuff for the kids?" UGGGGGGHHHHH i hate sugarfree candy it makes my kids tummies so upset. But before i could say anything my M-I-L tells him " no they can have the real candy , the sugarfree stuff is bad for thier tummies" . WOOOOOOOOFREAKINGHOOOOOOOO. She got it , took a few years....but she got it.
Just when we think they won't ever get it, some surprise you. Just keep drilling it into thier heads.
Thank you M-I-L........she'll never see that but it can atleast write it.

Julia's favorite snack for when she is pretty low is a banana on a whole wheat hot dog bun with PB spread in the bottom, and a tiny line of jelly.
I have heard some people don't use banana's because they have a spike? I haven't seen this with Julia, bananas have been wonderful for Julia.
My faith has been restored. I will continue preaching.
Thank you.

Bananas are seriously high carb; I'm wondering if the WW bun and PB giving more fiber and protein help level out the spike. What a great snack! I have a really cute mental picture of a little girl with a "banana dog" in hand... :D
Yay for the message getting through to grandma!! One tiny step at a time, right?

That is so great! Congratulations!
Bananas spike Kim's BS quite a bit too - I'd be hesitant to do that at bedtime. I'd rather do it during the day when I can "manage" it. She looooooves bananas!

Sheila, Bananas spike Phillips numbers too. I cant get his father to understand this tho. EVerytime Phillip goes to stay at his house he gives him a banana, and always his numbers jump. I tell him when I look at the numbers next day that the banana did it, but he still gives them to him.

Hmmm.. I've heard this about bananas too. I give them to Mia for breakfast but it's hard to tell what they do to her bs because her dawn effect (whatever it's called) always takes over our mornings. Anyway you made me laugh so hard karonray....Thanks. As long as they get it eventually...I figure my MIL will just have to hear it when Mia's old enough to tell her.
