Does any of your children sleep walk? Trey really scares me sometimes, even more since the dx. He just was doing exatly that. Running through the house calling for me. I picked him up and hugged him, told him it was o.k. Then I laid him in my bed. He started crying looking up at me saying he wants his mommie. I was crying. I said its ok mommie is here, it was like he was'nt really seeing me. His bs was 196 I gave him some water and let him fall back to sleep, I will be checking again shortly.................:( :( :(

Funny (but not) that you mention that. 1 1/2 weeks before Chris was dx that was what was what was happening. He would sleep walk 2 nites or so a week. Then the potty problems in between. which is why I had lab work done. I honestly still am not sure the reason,hi or lows that were going on, But he too was sleep walking. It was scary, I feel you! Could be the emotional tramma of it all. When we moved from Utah to Idaho our son Joey had a hard time adjusting. He started to sleep walk at about that time. It could also be maybe he was either jumping, or dropping rapidly. You might want to bring it up to his pedi, or endo if it continues. See what they think. The more brain power you can get to work on an issue the better. :cwds:

Ben sleep walks occasionally. Me and my husband will be sitting watching TV, and he will walk in and scare the life out of us!!!!
He always mumbles and is having a very intense conversation, but we can't really understand him!!
It' s quite scary - I just guide him back upstairs to bed, and he doesn't remember it next day.

Phillip doesnt sleep walk, he sleep talks. But he's always done this so I dont think its diabetes related.

I bet he lets all his 'secrets' out then. You should tape him!!! :D

Hi Mia doesn't sleepwalk but when her bs is high she tends to have sort of night terrors. She'll call for me crying or screaming and the same thing will happen, I'll try to calm her but she doesn't see me. It's a really wierd thing actually. It was happening all the time before dx, scared me. She also gets leg cramps when her bs is high.
