Hi everyone, i'm new to this forum and think it's great to have somewhere to ask questions and bounce ideas around! I'm also fairly new to the world of Type 1 diabetes, my 4 yr old was diagnosed 3 mths ago so we've all been on a steep learning curve...to say the least.

Anyway back to my question...we've decided to start pumping, but i wanted to know how you go with swimming and the pump. I've seen on the medtronic website that there's a waterproof cover but it says it just for showers. What do you do for a day at the beach when the kids are in and out of the water all day, she can't not wear the pump for hours on end and i can't imagine that sand is good for it. But we live near the coast and the beach is part of our summer.

Any solutions, ideas would be great.

Thanks :o)

Hey, I responded to your topic on the Parents board.

You'll find that there is not much traffic here on the Aussie board, and many threads go unanswered so you'd be better off putting all your questions on the Parents board, there are many people from different countries there too :cwds:
