I emailed the company pumppockets.com 3 dyas ago and haven't heard back yet. For those of you using these pouches:
-What are the measurements od the waist pocket and waist pocket plus?
-How well does a MM pump fit into it?
-Is there a buckle or something on the belt, or do you slip into it?
-Does the waistpocket plus hold the pump as well as the meter, lancer and strips?
Thanks. I want to order 2, but haven't heard from them :(

They are located in Upstate NY, and most likely were effected by the snowstorm this weekend:eek: Usually, they are very good about getting back. You might want to try and give them a buzz in case power was out and your message went to email purgatory:D
As for the pockets themselves, I think they have a special one for MM users. I find the softy belt is not as sturdy as the nylon belt, the buckle (just felt folding over a plastic loop) tends to slip. The plastic buckle that goes with the nylon is much better. Most of the pump pacs come with a belt.

I ordered some last week and haven't heard anything either....I was waiting until tomorrow (which will be a week) to see if I hear anything. Good to know they might have been blizzarded-out....that must be why so many people that live here in Arizona are from Buffalo! :D

The waist pouch has an elastic band but is not adjustable, (you have to slip into it). I was pretty disappointed when I saw that. It fits our MM pretty well, but wouldn't hold anything else. I only used it twice for Emma, the belt was too tight and it just seemed kinda flimsy. It found a better use as Rufus' pump pouch.:p
The waist plus is bigger and can hold a meter, but has the same non-adjustable waist band.
The belt pockets use a nylon belt or your own belt. This might be easier to get on and off.
I have used pumppack.com, they have similar products but the waist band is adjustable (with Velcro) and the fabric is thicker.
I like the double zippered pouches from pumpwearinc the best, but they are pretty pricey.
I hope you find one that works well for you!!

Ditto!
I LOVE the double zippers too. So convenient and very sturdy. Don't mind paying for them as they are durable and very cute.
Also, they deliver to Ireland within 3 days which is nice!
I didn't like the stuff from pumppockets.com much at all.
I think you get what you pay for.

I used pumppockets.com
they have a couple types, belt pockets to fit your own belts. the waist pockets have a belt attached that you slip into... We have an animas and it fit it perfect.. no room for anything else though.. What i have done is used there basic design and make my own now.. and have even made some with snapps adn velco so they are adjustable.. In fact i made some for anastasia's mom when they jsut got ther pump, made them adj. since she was a baby....
the packs that have the nylon belt are great, charlzie does not like them thoug they are tooo rough for her,,.. she prefers the ones that are just like at pumppockets.com.. ( and from my understanding the plus ones do not hold the meter stuff and the pump, unless its teh cozmor, other wize it will hold just meter, lancet adn strips)
its all a matter of opionion, i would get a few diffrent choices then see what works best for you all..
fyi they are super easy to make...

Thanks everyone. I did email them again. Apparently they didn't get my first email. I'm on the fence about which pouch to use. I'd like to do the pumpwearinc.com, but pricey. I guess worth it if they last. Off hand, does anyone know if pumpwearinc.com has one that fits pump, meter, lancer and strips? I'd like to get one just for his pump for school and home and one for when he goes to the neighbors house or is in CCD w/out me.

They do, it's called the smart pac, I don't know if it's designed to hold a MM though. More expensive, because it is bigger.

We love the pumpwearinc ones - especially the ones you can put the pump in both ways - double zipper and velcro.
From www.diabetesnet.com Rachel likes the "roundabout" - its very soft and snuggly.
We also have 2 sliders which are quite a bit smaller than the pumpwear ones as they are made to measure for your pump model. You can have them vertical or horizontal and there are some nice fabrics too.

We got a few of the puches from our rep and all they are is material sown into a pouch and sewed to some velcro. We like these because Logan is not potty trained yet and they are easy to wash. They are also very easy to make if you like to sew or have someone in the family that can sew them for you.
HI everyone I have been reading a lot on this web site but only have responded a few times. Regarding the pump pouches I can't sit back and read anymore without saying anything. My daughter has been pumping for three years and in that time I have developed a pump belt/pouch. I am not on line but I have flyer's locally. That is where I get my business from. Anyway long story short I have been where all of you are :cost, fit etc..My pouches are custom made for waist size and which pump you wear. They are made out of soft cotton prints and I only make them when ordered so you tell me what color or print you would like and I go find it at the fabric store. If your child like kittens or a cartoon character I do my best to get exactly what you want. The belts are made of elastic with Velcro on the belt and the pouch. My daughter plays a lot of sports and these have worked great for her. The best part is that I only charge $15.00 per belt. I am not in this to make money. I do it because the pump is so great for kids and if this helps them be more comfortable wearing it, then I have done my job. I know I am probably not supposed to advertise here but I hear everyone struggling with this issue and I hope I can help. If you are interested contact me at cocowix@bellsouth.net. Thanks.

thanks coco. I hope your post will be able to stay and I will email you privately. I just can't believe the prices of some of the pouches!! $40??? is too much! I've also noticed alot of the medical bracelets online that are $45 to $80 just for kids. I'm tired of these overpriced items.
