lot of gas

hi.anyone notice their child seems to have more gas since dx.my daughter,age7, seems to get gas more often since dx.just curious

My daughter didn't get more gas.

A suggestion that could be possible culprit are any dietary changes. Sugar Alcohols are known for causing gas. Stress/emotional upset can cause gas, too.

If you can not find a reason for the gas; you might want to be aware of Celiac symptoms. Our ped endo also tests for celiac on a yearly basis, because celiac can be more common in diabetics.

for the first 3 months since DX his farts were so evil that they just hovered. Seems to have settled down now. Tested for celiac and was negative so think it might just be what an active 5 years old is like. He spent a lot of time trying to blame them onhis brother.:)
