first blood test

hi , jake is having his first blood test on tuesday . im a nervous wreck already . im worrying about it already , then theres the waiting for the results from the blood test . i have explained to him whats going to happen , but the thought of going makes me feel sick . i no as soon as i walk in there will be a big lump in my throat ,,, oh god .. how did you all handle the first blood test .

Emily and morgan both diagnosed in june 2008 havent had their first blood tests either, please tell us how it goes.

I hope everything went well, and that the results were ok.

FYI, we usually put a numbing agent before going to the blood test on both arms, in case they can find a vein in one.

I hope Jake was ok!!

just to let you know it went good . jake was very brave , they did use numbing cream . i didnt let him look when they took the blood i think that helped . anyway his HBA1C was 7.8 a bit fed up over that are last one was 7.1 . im not getting stressed over it i have done enough since august when he was diagnosed . just got to wait for the results now , trying not to think about that one as well .
