Impressed with Animas

Anyone who read yesterday's post would know that I was requesting info about the upgrade for Animas 1200. In Australia, we get the 1200, not the 1250 and I couldn't understand why we didn't get the upgrade automatcally, well I emailed Animas yesterday and the rep here emailed me with the answer at 10pm tonight (they had forwarded the email to her). I am so impressed, so far at least, with the service from Animas and their distributor here. All my questions have been answred by her within an hour of sending and I only hope that if I have a real problem (please no)with the pump, that the service will be as good.

I just had to post something positive about the pump companies, I see so many people writing about probems they have had with their pump companies (all of them), that its nice to be pleased sometimes, dont you agree?

It's the same in Canada, the 1250 and a several infusion sets (all companies) aren''t year available here. But we have also found Animas to be great at responding to any questions or concerns.

Aaron's pump had a "no delivery - call service" alarm at 11:30 pm on a Sunday night last summer (first time, we freaked out) and we had an Animas nurse on the phone in five minutes!

We have sent in our info to get the Animas. When we were lookng for the pump we wanted, the animas rep was the only one who went well beyond the call of duty, and answered our questions, and he also sent out more then the typical advertisements. He sent us a book about pumping, and the childrens book Luara takes charge. He has kept in touch with me and answered any questions I have had. I have not had this with the other two we were looking at, and I have to say that kinda sealed the deal for us as far as choices went.
