Hello!
I am Amanda (Tresstonsmom). I am not new here, but finally got around to doing my introduction. I am married to Randy, for almost 8 years. I am the mother to Tresston (10) and Ellijah (6). We live in a VERY small town in South Central Illinois. I quit my job when Tresston was Dx, to be more available to him. We live on a farm, in the country. No animals, just fields.

Tresston was Dx on 10-2-07 by his pediatrician. He was losing weight (total of 20 lbs.) and had started having accidents at night. When our peds. got blood work back, she called me at work and said to get him to Saint Louis Children's Hospital in Missouri. We spent the next 3 days learning how to take care of him, and our new way of life. I will admit I was scared to death to bring him home from the hospital, I was afraid that I would mess up.

He has his good days and bad days with #'s. He is coming out of Honeymoon, and beiginning of PUBERTY:eek:. We are in the middle of getting him on a pump.

I love this site and have learned so much from it. Everyone has been so helpful and informative. Thank you all.:)

Hey there Amanda:D

What kind of crops do you have? Brent grew-up on an onion, wheat, and sugar beats farm.

Hi Tresstonsmom!

My son lost 20 pounds too, but on your little guy, I bet that was really scary! Happy we've all found each other here with our safe haven at CWD. See you on the boards!! :D

How wonderful that you are able to stay home with him. I stay home, too. What a great place to live-on a farm!
