We have only been exposed to D for 5 months now. I still consider myself new and learning everyday. I rememer at dx the feeling of loss of control and wonder at what was happening. I grabbed every piece of literature I could find but only found myself more and more confused. Then I found this forum and then I found this book 'Understanding Diabetes'. It has taken some time to read since Ive been so busy but I have enjoyed taking my time and soaking things in. This book is an easy read and a very good starter for newbies IMO. For those you who have been at this awhile you will probably shrug at it. Since I have finished reading it I plan to pass it on to family members as a starter for their understanding and knowledge. It's not the Pink Panther book but similar, smaller. I found it at CVS.
