Here is the thread. It was the one asking should she go or shouldn't she go and she went. She said in another post that her friend got to Urgent care and her daughters BG was 500:eek:

Yes I went, I told her I had been sick but she didn't care...I was very careful. I had talked to my mom she said I was always around 99 as a kid. I almost never get a fever so maybe that's still my norm. I tested it on a fluke, but I'm usually chilled when I have a fever and I wasn't this time:confused:

My friends daughter was sleeping when I got there about 6, she had already had dinner and her first two shots, then she perked up and wanted to go to "her room" later she said "I'm hungry, does that mean I have to have a shot?" she ate 4 or 5 string cheese and 2 sugar free jellos. When it was time to test she crawled under a chair:( We coaxed her out but she had her hands behind her back. I lightly asked her which finger she wanted to poke knowing she's a little control freak like me lol, we have the same birthday;) She picked one, once the nurse did the poke she exclaimed "That didn't even hurt!" Very cute. She was getting tired by the time I left just before 10 and wanted to go home.

This morning when I called mom said she was doing good, there was something fun about to happen in the hosp. and she wanted to go so we didn't talk long. She did stay in the 250-300 range during the night. I was a little suprised because she had gone form the 500 down to 180 in about 5 hours. Maybe the cheese kept her up? I'l keep you posted, I told my friend how people all over the world were parying for them, in fact 2 people called to check on her while I was at the hosp:D That made her feel good!

I guess i went to sleep by then, thanks for posting the update. Hope they're doing okay. The first few days of d are so scarey. They're lucky to have Heather there.

Happy to hear she's doing okay. She's so lucky to have you. Sounds like your friend's daughter is dealing with everything okay as well. Kids are so resilient.

I'm so Glad you went to support your friend and her dd. I know how valuable people were to me. I just wanted to see ANYONE but the Drs and NURSES.

You are a GREAT support system for that family. :cwds:

I was wondering about the little girl too. Glad to hear things are getting a little more under 'control' for her.
You're a very good friend to be there for her and for being vigilant about your health at the same time.

There's another Mom praying here in Oklahoma! :cwds:
