DD had the neighbor's granddaughter over to spend the night tonight. She also has D, so it is nice for both of them. They were swimming for a while tonight. While I was at the grocery store, DD calls and tells me her bs is 270 (?) so told her the correction. Friend ate a muffin, told her the carbs and she took a shot. Got home and had DD test again (one hour later) and she was at 70. My guess is she tested on forearm and did not wash it. Anyway, they had snacks and both tested 1 1/2 hours later before bed. Both of them are 70! Gave them juice and snack and sent them to bed and told them I would be coming in to test them, so possibly waking them up. I'm thinking it's bad enough being worried about your own child, but now I've got someone else's to worry about too! I have always admired the folks on here who have two D children to take care of - now more so because I'm a little stressed thinking about the night! Especially since last night I set my alarm for 2:30 and never heard it!!! I did not call the grandparents - it's a very dysfunctional situation.... she's one of a set of quads, both sets of grandparents have custody and they really let this 11 yr. old take care of herself. The little girl does a great job and is really sweet. She told me once she loves to stay over here - that it just makes her feel good. That about broke my heart. ok, I'm going off on another story now and not focusing.... it might be a long night!

Oh, what a sweet little girl. It is great that your DD has somebody to hang out with.

I always wanted a DD...(well maybe not the teen years )

Thanks for sharing that story. I have always wondered what it would be like if Westin had a D friend stay the night. (He doesn't have any D friends but still...)
