Too much Synthroid

I just started taking Snythoid for hypothyroid. I accidentally took my pill twice. :eek: Has anyone every done this? Will it hurt? I can't believe I did that. I took one when I got up out of the prescription bottle and then I took it again when I ate breakfast with my other medicine that I had in my divider box for Sat.

Hi. I'm on Levoxly, and yes, I have taken it twice on accident before. :o It didn't have any affect on me, so I think you'll be just fine! :) Good luck!

I've done that once or twice and it just made me feel a little jittery and irritable. But besides those lovely side effects nothing else happened.

I think that you will be fine. :) But if you notice a racing heart, high pulse, b/p and such... then you should notify your doc.
It may just be that your are nervous about it too. I have done it several times.... with no issues.

I've done that, too, no big deal.

In fact, about a year or so ago, my DH accidently gave my younger son (he was 3 at the time) my thyroid pill instead of his Zyrtec allergy medicine! I completely panicked and called poison control. And they said it was no problem at all, even for a 3 year old. Didn't even have to take him to the ER or anything.
