That is what Kaylee said to me when she checked herself before lunch.. yesterday she saw HI, which 'totally' freaked her out (thank goodness the HI was wrong, she had something on her fringers..) Today, she comes in the kitchen says, this number is really freakin' me out.. I asked to see her meter, assuming it said HI again, nope it says 222, she's never seen it saying all the same number LOL.. 5 year old.. you never know whats going to come out of their mouths:D

Jess likes the # 123. We always have a stupid game for that #. I ask her what her # is, and she will say i am 1 2 3... and I say , yea so you can count but what is your #..lol

We have played that since she was about 3 and she still loves it. She aims for 123 all the time

My son's new obsessive word is 'Caca'...so everything is caca-this, caca-that...guess a bad bg can be a caca-bg;)

Kids are so cute! I ask my son what's your number? He says "you don't want to know." ;)

My DD "freaked out" the other day, too. She came in from swimming, said I feel low, checked herself, & then started panicking. The meter said "Below 20" or something about being too low to register. It's never said that before so I just very calmly told her to check it again which she did. Bg was 53. Oh, good, she was so relieved, "I'm glad I wasn't REALLY low!" We decided that chlorine & blood mixed on your finger really confuses the meter.

When my son was younger (dx @ 7) he used to think that the epitome of the perfect number was an even 100. Anything other than that wasn't perfect!!

(I like it when the time on my car clock exactly matches the radio station I'm listening to!)

Zach likes to tell me his number backwards. It makes me crazy! I try to tell him that I can't think fast enough to reverse them...I always mess it up somehow.

"What, you're 261?"
"No mom, you did it wrong, I'm 126!"

It never fails!!!521

Kaylee does this, but does it on accident, since she's just learning numbers she once told me she was 19, she was really 91, but holy moly, talk about a heart attack.. first though was that it doesn't go that low, that it should have been an LO... then I looked at the metter and realized the twinkie had reversed the numbers:)

How cute! I don't like the Onetouch mini, because I seem to always have the meter upside down...talk about some scary numbers. Brandon thought it was funny.

Phillip always wants to be 5.4, because every time he sees a pic of a meter in a magazine or on a box, thats what the meter says. He's had numbers all around there but never right on 5.4.
We got an 8 once (his target). He said 'Mum, i'm a perfect kid.'

Ian's thing is he signals the blood sugar with fingers. 1 finger then 3 fingers then 2 fingers for 132. I'm too slow and I never get it. He also likes having "bg memory lane" as I call it. he'll say, "Oh I was 132 a week ago at snack time" and I'll look back in his log and sure enough, 132.

Connor gets really excited about the number 100 on his meter too. We are now giving him $1.00 for every 100 (only 3 of those so far) thanks to another member's suggestion. Whatever makes diabetes "fun" for him....

Yep, Samantha does the same thing.

She does this too.:cwds:

Phillips latest is to do his test, then not even look at the number. I ask him what it is and he says 'I forgot to look at it.'

My address is 20!

That would be scary....my address is 13400. There wouldn't be enough room on the meter screen - it would need to say something well past "HI" ;)!
