Besides the
battery almost empty
insulin level low
reminder to bolus
reminder to test
any other reminders/alarms you've got set up and use?
Can too many alarms be too much?

I don't use any reminder to test alerts, and only 1 bolus reminder alert and that one is only on school days (lunchtime).
I find the Cozmo alarms too quiet and they tended to go off and be missed (or ignored) by Rachel , so went on and on which I think wore the battery down more quickly. :cwds:

During school there is the lunch BG check alarm and the after lunch BG alarm.
During the summer we use the BG has not been checke in the last 4 hours alarm.
The check BG 30 minutes after a low. (set at 69 BG)
The check BG 2.5 hours after a high (set at 275 BG)

P.S. Good to have you back doing the Soap Opera!!!
TRACY
I have:
1) A site change reminder every three days.
2) A reminder at 2.5 hours after a bolus.
3) A reminder at 25 minutes after a low.
4) A reminder at 2 hours after a reading of 260 or higher.

I would think for some kids of a certain age, too many alarms and they will become immune to the sound. I remember being a pre-teen/teen I was the master of selective hearing...the alarm clock being one!
We also have the basics, but also an occulusion alarm.

with the regular pump we use when the insulin level is at 20 and low battery, with the cgms included we use high at 250, low at 90, and calibration alarms...

I was hearing a very faint high-pitched beep in the kitchen last night, and was thinking maybe I was going crazy.
Turns out that it was Alex's last pod buried in the garbage. It was alarming because we didn't deactivate it, due to a minor mistake. It was still going at 8am today!

I think I am going to do the BG alarm while Britt is in summer camp. Just so I know she is not forgetting to check herself.

I think that too many alarms are not good. I had bolus reminders and alarms set, but my son just turned them off because they annoyed him. He then would ignore the important ones like no delivery or no insulin.
I turned off all the alarms except the really important ones so that he would pay attention to it.

I think this is our most under used feature of the pump. We only use the pod change alarm and I need to change it back to the 12 hour notice from the 3 hour I have it set at. I prefer knowing in the morning that it is pod change day so I can plan around. I think I am going to play around and see if adding more tighten's our control.

We use the standard alarms you listed, and...
Abby chooses to vibrate instead of alarm.
We use the post meal alarm all the time. Abby is 7 and doesn't watch the clock. During the day -school or daycare have other children to attend to, and in the evenings I'm busy doing my thing. So the alarm works best for us.

I think I read somewhere that the vibrating feature uses up the battery faster than the alarm feature (the beeps). Off-topic, I know:rolleyes:

Yes, it does. If you don't clear the alarm it uses even more battery!. But Abby prefers it that way. She doesn't want every Tom, Dick, and Harry hearing her alarms. So I respect that.
The other alarms- important ones- will end up sounding and not vibrate at some point- I just don't know at what point that is.
Example- we had our first no delivery alarm a month ago. Abby bolused for McDonalds in the backseat. She vibrated, told me what the alarm said, and 5 minutes later it was making a terrible noise in the backset.
