I wasn't going to post this

but I feel it is something I need to share.

Today was Manning's 7th B-day, the first with D. First thing in the morning I check his BS (he is still asleep) then wake him with a "Happy Birthday". We go downstairs where he opens a gift while I calculate breakfast, his favorite, turkey sausage, eggs, toast, chocolate milk (sugar-free) and 1/2 an orange. I get his insulin ready while he checks out his new toy (street hockey set.) Go to give him his prebolus and he says "I thought I didn't have to get insulin today, that's one of my birthday gifts".

Need I say more:mad::(, I wish there was a broken heart smiley.

Thank-you to all for the kind words. I new I could share and everyone would understand. It did break my heart but he had a great day, even with shots.

He seems to be having a hard time lately, with diabetes and just being cranky...maybe the diabetes is making him that way, he has been on the higher side for the last few days. I am going to look at the pattern to see if we need a change.

I would definitely look to see if there is a need for a dosage change. When Alli is running high she is a different person. Now that we have some consistancy in her numbers there is a complete personality change for the better!!!!!!!!!!! Since he hates the shots, have you contemplated pumping? Maybe that would make things better psycholgically speaking.
