Greetings All!
I'm Mary, a stay at home mom of 5 kids, one of which was just dx'd with T1 on May 15th. Her name is Molly and she's 8.
I'm a Coast Guard wife and I'm currently taking college courses for Med Transcription. I've had to put it on hold until everything gets settled though. It has made the terminology of all of this easier!
I've got 4 daughters ages 11 down to 2 and our last child was (FINALLY!:D) a boy who's 9 months. We've had some emotional ups and downs....more ups now that her Endo wants to get her on the pump. She's extremely athletic and he thinks it's best for her (So do we!). She's actually in an all day softball tournament for her travel team coming up soon!
Molly has a good grasp on everything and gives herself her own shots-although she HATES  it (but, really, does anyone actually ENJOY giving themselves shots??)
I found this site by looking for fellow Ga T1 diabetics. I typed in my town on Google and found you guys, including a new friend who lives here in town w/ a daughter of her own who is T1! Thank you!!

Hi Mary. I'm new here too. Our dx came on 5/26/08 to our 7yo ds. You sound like you have a good relationship with Diabetes already.
