Father's Day is next week. My dh is really hard to shop, do you know any for any fun gifts the kids can make or small gifts they can put together to make him feel appreciated?
Thanks

I am a big fan of the plaster of paris, hand imprint paper weight ;) It's amazing how you treasure that little hand impression when the hand is no longer so tiny.

We are tie dying underwear :D
What about a book about dad with photos and drawings of him doing favourite things with the kids and comments from the kids?
A coupon book?
Tickets for him to do something special with the kids (mini golf, canoe rentals, a movie, a trip to a lake/water park?) Last year a friend of mine and her kids made a mini golf sets for her husband using things like cardboard, yogurt containers, and then they had a blast playing with it in the back yard.
A t shirt the kids decorate? These can look really great if you tape off a section for the kids to paint in.
Have them draw family photos and make them into screen savers for his computer.

we usually fix him some breakfast. something with bacon. in hte past he would have liked gravy and biscuits-now he doesn't like those things.
and a nice dinner.
If we're feeling very good we'll clean out his car-his car is horrible. trash etc.

We usually do tickets. This year we are going to a museum. I have convinced some friends to go so we are getting the group rate. It is a HUGE savings.

A homemade card w/ a picture of the kids on the front and handprints on the inside is nice. I use www.castingkeepsakes.com instead of plaster of paris. They make 3D handcasts, but mine were for Mothers Day. :D My husband loves any kind of tool, Sears has a doodle toolbox http://tinyurl.com/4bnfa5 that would be cute and useful.
P.S. OSUMom: That book looks good !!

A custom pencil/pen holder (take a clean washed out tin can, cover with Model Magic (http://www.crayola.com/educators/techniques/ModelMagic.cfm), decorate with WHATEVER - stones, water color paint....)
I just saw the book Yiddish for Dogs (http://www.yiddishfordogs.com/) - cute.

How about an mp3 player for younger dads. My dad is 81, what else do you buy an 81 year old grumpy man except cigars or gift certificates to the Old Country Buffet?

My dad thinks a VCR and a remote control is a modern marvel. Forget about a DVD player, his head would explode.
