So the other night when i checked my daughters bg before bed, she asked me what it was. I said it was 7.4 (133). She asked me if it was low and i said no thats perfect. She got mad and went nooooo i want it to be low.
She usually gets glucose tablets when she's low, and she just wanted the sugar
Funny to see it from her perspective :p

Ok, that's really strange...must be the age.
When I check Max, he'll ask if he's low and sounds a little disappointed if he's not. We never make a big deal out of his numbers no matter what they are, so not sure why he has this reaction. We do Appe juice when low. Those crazy kids!
Not sure it is the age only. My 10 year old requests Novolog with dinner, even though (now honeymooning) he does not get it unless he is over 101 at dinner. He has become very fond of his bedtime snack and sees that Novolog with dinner gets him under 100 at bedtime so he gets the snack. Problem is that if he has any activity that evening, on top of the Novolog, he is back down to 80 in the night and getting another snack about midnight:)
He likes to be on the low side of his range too (70-180). Don't know how you all do it with little ones. They learn quickly how to get sweets, don't they?

My daughter does the SAME thing! We just got grape flavor and she wanted to try it out! :) When I checked her she was like " Am I low?!" and I said no, and she was disappointed. :)

Just wait till her siblings "get low" cuz they want candy... ;)
