While I was out last night, my dd noticed her site was loose. The cannula was still in, but the adhesive had mostly unattached. Since her numbers were good and the cannula was still in, my dh waited for me to get home to do a site change (I was on my way home.)
DD was so upset because she was afraid she was going to go high since her pump site wasn't on right. I guess I'm thankful that she realizes what it does, but it's sad that at the age of 5 she is that concerned.
I hate this disease!

oh that's sad that she was worried. Dad should have just changed it out to make her feel better.

Unfortunately Daddy's big clumsy fingers and her little tiny tush make her prefer Mommy for site changes!:)

One of the things I hate about this disease is how it forces our kids to know things that they should not have to know at such a tender age :( Give Natalie a big squishy (((((hug)))) from me.

No, it is not sad - it is wonderful that your dd has the maturity to understand how to manage diabetes; good for her ;)
I drink to the day this site will become an alumni association!

But it is sad that these children have to grow up so quickly! (hugs) to your little girl!
