Last night, when I Removed Trevor's site, I noticed the spot where the tape had been is all red and bumpy, like a heat rash. And then, I put his new site in his belly, the tape came off within an hour, and he pulled his site out. The tape doesn't seem to want to stick because he is sweaty. And I'm assuming the red bumps were heat rash. So now what? Should I stop using the tape, and try some skin tac or mastisol? Poor little guy said to me, "Well, I guess we can go back to shots for the Summer" (in the sadest voice you can imagine).

we have better luck with Skin Tac than tape in sweaty weather. It's a challenge, for sure.

The bumps happen more often with Abby in the summer. The bumps go away, they just don't look very pretty.
I would suggest you tried IV prep and then an application of Skin Tac. The IV prep protects the skin and then the Skin Tac to help it stick.

Some like the wipes, some like the liquid!

This is exactly what we have to do to prevent the red bumps. We do alcohol, IV prep, then skin tac.
