Has this happened to any of you? My mother's company (which is the one we get our insurance through) is changing our insurance, and here I am SMACK IN THE MIDDLE OF FIGHTING for a CGMS! What is going to happen now? Am I going to have to start the whole process all over again?
(at least my endo, who I LOVE accepts the new insurance)

If you're getting United Healthcare, they cover cgms for everybody.
I guess if you're getting one of the other companies, just use your prior appeals to appeal again.
It can be a mixed blessing actually. Your old insurance company may of been useless anyways. Some of the companies, like Aetna, do not budge at all (most of the time) when it comes to covering cgms. They play their favorite card, calling it "experimental" even though it's FDA approved. Unfortunately, that's how insurance companies do business.
