My very favorite..."IQ" with Meg Ryan. I love that movie!!
My least favorite movie...The Perfect Storm!
Is IQ the one where Walter Matthau plays Einstein? I always wanted to see that.
Speaking of bad movies with lots of special effects, I absolutely despised "Independence Day." I cannot stand unrealistic films, and I also hated the one made by the same people that made "Independence Day" - it was about the weather going crazy on Earth and starred Dennis Quaid - I forget the name. It was horrible!!

My least favorite movie...The Perfect Storm!
What's kinda' funny about that (except for the fact that it's a true and tragic story that took place here in Mass.) is the the ship is the Andrea Gail. I'm Andrea and my mom's name is Gail, so my hubby and dad get a big kick out of that. We'll go out shopping for the day and when we come in with a ton of bags. they'll say, "here comes the perfect storm!" ;)

Wow, Shawshank Redemption is on a lot of lists. That's a really great flick. I'm sorry, but I hated the Star Wars films - they reminded me of muppet movies with special effects. Yoda has the same voice as Miss Piggy.

The Iron Giant
The Yearling
The Blues Brothers
The Breakfast Club
Kind of a sappy list for a guy, huh Marsha?
I love movies about people overcoming incredible odds, or sticking to their beliefs no matter what, or trying to correct mistakes they have made in their lives. Also, when people have to face harsh reality and do it bravely.
Even though war movies would definitely seem to fit my description of what I like, I don't really care much for them because I know that war is hell, but to me, it is just awful too watch (too painful). I didn't see "The Passion of the Christ" for the same reason. Oddly, probably my favorite movie of all time is "Sergent York", which is a war movie.

Oh, I enjoy so many movies, many of them already listed but I wanted to add that the all-time FUNNIEST MOVIE SCENE EVER is in the 40-year old virgin, when the guy gets a waxing. OMG I still get histerical when i see it!!! If you haven't seen it, it is a MUST SEE!! Also, if you watch it again, check out the face of the Cosmetologist- I guarantee you she is not an actress but a real Cosmetologist because her face is worth a million bucks!!!
My personal favorite is probably Office Space. One of the few movies I can watch over and over again LOL. Also loved Shawshank Redemption and Forrest Gump.
My hubby's favorite ought to be Braveheart. I think he easily saw this flick a dozen times, on and off scenes.
My kids favorite is probably Ice Age and any of the ScoobyDoo Movies.

I didn't see "The Passion of the Christ" for the same reason.
The Passion of the Christ wasn't a movie -- it was an out-of-body experience. I don't think I took a single breath for an hour and a half, and it was a good two hours after that before I could speak a word.

I am so glad to see Shawshank on so many peoples list...I think this is one of the best movies ever. Dh and I could(and do) watch it again and again. I think Forrest Gump is Dh's all time favorite and real close to the top of my list. All of the Harry Potter movies because they are fun (but not as much fun as the books) and because I watch them with my kids. On Golden Pond (I LOVE Kathrine Hepburn (and am distantly related to her)) and Guess Who's Coming To Dinner. Barefoot in the Park, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and Operation Petticoat. Cast Away. The Money Pit (I too love the bathtub scene). The Princess Bride..."Have fun storming the castle". I Am David. Oh...so many but I think this gets most of them.
Worst movie....Showgirls....every cent spent making, selling, or seeing this movie was a waste...SO BAD. I also really didn't like No Country for Old Men...I know it won all kinds of awards but I hated it.

I worked at a theater when Showgirls was out. Actually had to ID people and police the door so no one who bought a ticket to the other movie at the theater tried to sneak into showgirls. Elizabeth Berkely was seriously skanky looking in this movie, and the movie just plain sucked. I lost all respect for Kyle Maclachlan. Paul Atreides should never have stopped that low!

I think all mine have been listed....
The only ones I think I HAVE NOT seen listed are :
Corrina, Corrina.....I just LOVE LOVE Whoopie in this movie !!
Some Kind of Wonderful ( 80's throwback.....I had such a crush on Eric Stoltz !!)
Real Genuis...watched this over & over in the 80's haven't seen it since...probbly stinks....but I loved it at the time ....same with the Outsiders !!
Radio Flyer.....if you want to cry....this will do it......
Terms of Endearment....need I say more ? It has everything you'd want !
Pulp Fiction
Spanglish.....Adam Sandler is tender and sweet....who knew ??
The Story of Us ( Bruce willis & Michelle Pfieffer divorcing )
Crash
Seem to be repeats :
I love Shawshank Redemption just like everyone else....you all know Steven King wrote that novella, right....is in his book 4 seasons ( 4 differnet short stories)....the very first time I saw a commercial for Shawshank....I got chills...because I LOVED the story. They did not advertise that it was a Stephen King story....but I knew it had to be the same.....and it was 100% true to the book ( like movies NEVER are !!) ETA: I think this movie would not have been the same without Morgan Freeman...he was wonderful !
Forrest Gump ( I know every line and must be irritating to watch this with! )
Big Fat Greek Wedding....same as above
Lord of The Ring Stories....who knew....I was shocked to discover I liked them !!
Christmas Story....so great......
Grease....yes....say what you want....I LOVE it !!
The Sound of Music.....I am a nerd, no ??
Sixth Sense

I've probably watched "The Sound of Music" more times than any other movie, and I know practically the entire screenplay and songs by heart. Great film. I remember as a child I wanted to be a nun since I liked how they dressed. I was a weird child. Rogers and Hammerstein were awsome songwriters.

Lord of the Rings....MY ALLTIME FAVORITE...forgot to list that one...I've been waiting since I was 14 for a good movie to come out on the trilogy...and it did it justice!!!

YO ADRIAN!!!!
I jus' picked up Rocky I through Rocky IV at Wal-Mart. 1 and 2 were packaged together and 3 and 4 were packaged together at the low, low price of $9 each. So I got 4 great movies in both full and widescreen versions for less than 20 bucks. Yeah me!

I enjoy movies so I can't say I have ever watched a movie I hated. Wait, I was completely annoyed at the Tom Cruise War of the World's flick so much so that I was irrational and seething for days afterward.
My personal favorite movie of all time: To Kill a Mockingbird.

And to the one who mentioned We are the TItans...yes...I love that movie as well...it was just on Disney Chanel....we laugh & cry and recite all the words.....
