The kids LOVE it!! They had saved some money from Christmas and we paid the rest. They wanted to buy it the week after Christmas but we made them wait until the end of the school year. It came with Wii Sports and Wii Play, 1 Nunchuk and 2 remotes. We bought an extra Nunchuk so we would have 2 of each. They are in the middle of an intense baseball game at the moment.
So, what Wii are games are the most fun? My kids are almost 7 and 11. We did not buy any additional games yesterday since we spent $300 on the system. I told them we would get another game in a few weeks.

Hi, we have found the Wii is a good way to get exercise and bring down bg. Danielle really likes Super Mario Galaxy, however that doesn't involve much moving around  But the boxing, bowling and tennis games get her much more active. I have tried to limit the games she has so right now it is just the sports package and the Mario one. The next one she wants is Mario Kart. Enjoy!! :cwds:

The boys swear by the Hot Wheels game, but I suspect if there was Hot Wheels (TM) Broccoli & Brussel Sprout Casserole, they would like that.

I like the bowling and have bowled 300 hooking the ball all the way from the right gutter. Learning to throw a big hook is quite tricky.;)

Mario Kart! You should buy the extra steering wheel too so they can race. Guitar Hero is great too, but I would wait until June 22nd (release date) to buy Rock Band, it comes w/ the guitar too.

We also have a Wii. My boys love to play it, but it causes lows with Tresston sometimes. My boys said that Mario Kart is FUN !!! and that Star Wars is FUN !!! But then they think any video game is fun.:D
Have fun playing it...My kids never let me anymore.:(:)

My kids are 8 and 11 and they love Mario Kart. The other games they play a lot is Mario Party and Rayman's Raving Rabbids 2 (it's kinda silly but they like it).
One thing we like to do is rent a game we are thinking about - it has helped us from making a few bad choices.

So far Bowling and Baseball are the favorites with both kids. They have both mentioned Mario Kart and Star Wars so we may look into getting one of those next month.

My kids love the bowling, mario Kart, and Rayman. Guitar Hero is my husbands favorite, and they are coming out with Rock Band for the Wii the middle of June. The Wii Fit however has them loving it. They play it every day and I laugh so hard at some of the things they do on there.

My extended family has 3 of the things so we've tried out lots of the games. Our favorites:
1. Super Mario Galaxy - The graphics are awesome.
2. Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Basically "King of the Hill". Last one standing wins.
3. Star Wars Lego - my 5 year old nephew rocks at this. Basically a walk through of all 6 movies.
4. Mario Party #Whatever it is - The mini games are lots of fun
5. Any of the soccer games
We still bowl, play baseball and "drive the cow" too.
How could I forget Guitar Hero? My 17 year old and his friends have all of a sudden developed an appreciation for 70s and 80s guitar rock.

My daughter has a WII and loves the Mario Kart game and also Guitar Hero.
I played Guitar Hero and Rockband for the first time this January at my son's home and loved it so much that for my 54th birthday present to myself in March I bought an XBOX 360, Guitar Hero AND Rockband. It is so much fun if you love music as much as I do - you will not go wrong with these games!!
For Mother's Day this year my son gave me an XBOX wireless headset as we have been playing together over the internet and Kylee sings thru the TV, the wonders of technology - simply amazing! My husband gave me 2 XBOX gift cards.:D
At home my 2 oldest granddaughters come over and we have our own band. Me on the guitar, Reese sings and Shilo on the drums! Pretty special.
Oh and for all you gamer geeks - my XBOX LIVE gamer tag is DonnaBeetle72 - it would be fun to play online together sometime......

Tony just likes making a billion mii's on it-oddly enough they all look like me. We call it the "mommy army" :p He also plays some anime game with dh, not sure of the name.
My niece and nephew love Mario Galaxy, beg to play it everytime. They also like Mario Party, we gave it to them cause dh got sick of me whining about not playing it with me.

Guitar Hero, WII fitness (at least it will get them some exercise!).
