I was making dinner tonight and handed a can of olives to Hunter and asked him to open them for me. We have an electric under the counter can opener the my Grandma gave us for Christmas, but he started scrounging around in a draw for an "old fashioned" kind (his words, not mine) and told me he "didnt know how to operate that magical one". I about died laughing. He will be 13 next month, and we have had an electric can opener for probably four years now, but evidently he has never used it. Ive seen the other two use it, so I just assumed he had too. So I showed him how to use it and his reply was "Thats it? I thought it was going to be cool or something."
