Well, we won't be walking into a bar of course, but the BIG week is almost here. Emmasmom and Brenden are about to leave for Florida leaving me and Emma all alone. Emmasmom is, naturally, scared to death, and I am actually very much looking forward to lots of time with my daughter. This ought to be interesting...

You may have to text her BOTH of your BG's a few times a day to prevent a nervous breakdown.......

I am always amazed that our wifes, who know us best, are willing to trust their children with the childrens' fathers.

Daddy time is wonderful!
Cherish every minute of it. Check out the new song by Steven Curtis Chapman titled "Cinderella". Have a dance or two at your tea party.
Let her get messy. Let her pick out her clothes even if they don't match.
Most of all - have fun!!!

Thanks badshoe, I always appreciate your honesty. Now I'm off to cancel my flight... LOL:p
I am freaking out, but I'm sure they'll be fine... maybe. ;) Emma's getting a cold, of course, has a possible staph infection in her leg that we're treating, will need a new sensor on Sunday, at least one site change, a dose of methotrexate Monday, 2x daily Celebrex, folic acid daily, and had a newly wounded ankle that she's limping around on this morning.
And that's all the easy part, the hard part is going to be daddy fixing her hair. LOL! She has a new 3 year-old phobia of hair washing and she gets completely insane when you try to wash it, and then there's the brushing and the bows oh my!
If she doesn't have dread locks when I get home I'll be thrilled! :)
How could this little angel be so much trouble??

Ok, just have her lay back in the bath and single twinkle twinkle little star. Or have her count "clouds" in the sky. Or you can do what I do...tell her we need to get the bugs out of your hair. Hmmm, ok, don't traumatize her. Dread locks are cool man!
Have a great time.

I've been playing the bug card lately too LOL, "if you don't let me wash your hair bugs are going to live in there!!". :p She just shrugs her shoulders and says "I like bugs". Little stinker!
She is just the cutest thing! Here's to a wonderful time for all.:D

I look at it this way, my husband has been helping all along too, he's capaable, he has a cell phone. What happens with Daddy stays with Daddy! Of course, Abby is the little narc of the family so I will eventually find out:D
You'll do fine, just don't forget to look after yourself too.

Ohhh, how wonderful...father/daughter bonding time. I'm sure you guys will have a blast.
And mother/son bonding time. Just try to relax a little mom. I know easier said than done. I think after this trip, the next time being away from Emma will be easier.:)
I recently let Madison (who is 8) go on a weekend trip with her best friend and family. She had a cell phone and I didn't leave the phone for the whole two days or sleep much. I was exhausted when she got home, but it was worth it.
