Help me shop! I am going to Lake Tahoe for a week (no d care for 7 days!) with my company and I have no idea what I should wear. Normally in the office we can wear jeans but this event is “business casual”. I am a plus size gal and need some advice on what to wear; I will need a lot of outfits since we have meetings during the day and fancier dinner events in the evening. I live in a rural area so I would love website you like or even better yet – links to an actual item!

I just bought this jacket to start my wardrobe for the week:

Cute Jacket.

I enjoy fashion. ;) I know how it is to live in a rural area with no shopping so I basically shop exclusively online. Business casual means different things to different companies and different people. Can you wear bermuda shorts? Sleeveless shirts? Capri's? Once you know the outline it can be fun to mix outfits together. I would layer clothes being that you will be in Lake Tahoe. When I think business casual I think of cardigans, nice tees, pretty blouses, skirts, wide legged or straight legged pants, wrap dresses, ballet flats, pumps and a nice handbag.

Here are some ideas from Old Navy. I really like the Navy blue wrap dress. You can dress it up or down as needed.

You can also look at Target, JcPenney, and Nordstroms. Good Luck and have fun.

Chicos has great a great Travelers line, with clothes that don't wrinkle and take up very little packing space. They also carry larger sizes. I've had great luck with their clothing, and it is mix and match. When I used to travel for business, I used to pack only black shoes & bags. It takes up too much space in my bags to try to coordinate all different color accessories. Have a great time!

Cute jacket. Have you tried Coldwater Creek? I love Chicos, too.

That is a really cute jacket. How about some white capris with some sort of black wedge shoe?
