Pump start next week

Well, finally, we get to begin pumping!!! What type of adhesive does anyone suggest? We are using Sure-T's. I need to get the adhesive asap so any help would be very much appreciated. Oh yeah, should I also get numbing cream too? Any help from the pros is always appreciated!!

We are not pumping yet but I saved a site someone suggested for skin tac.

I think it varies on the numbing cream. Everyone is different in whether they use it. I think I will try getting some in the beginning just to try it out. We are to be pumping by the end of the summer too.

We use IV prep and haven't had any problem - yet. Sites stayed on through a 1/2 hour bath and playing in a back yard pool.

We haven't used numbing cream but have it just in case.

Good luck with your pump start. I found ours to be a lot like starting on MDI - a lot of nervousness, feelings of ineptitude, and sleepless nights. BUT now it's AWESOME!!

Same here using iv prep and unisolve remover. We never used the numbing cream, we both (husband and I) put a site in ourselves to see if it was very painful and neither of us felt anything. There's alot of fear w/ the kids thinking it's going to hurt but it's really just fear, except for the occasional bad placing (hitting a nerve or muscle) and numbing cream could keep them from knowing it at first when it needs to be replaced asap. JMO Congrats on the pump start, hope it goes smoothly. :)
