I have a question....Aidan is hunger ALL the time. He literally can eat around the clock. My DH is a big eater and Aidan is keeping right up with him. Seems to me there was a post sometime back about being hungry all the time is a lack of something or other, but I can't remember what was said....

He is not low when this happens either. He will eat whatever, for example if he says "I want a snack" and I say "ok have a salad" He will.

Any ideas?

(Annual labs were done about 6 weeks ago, thyroid and such and all were normal.)

My daughter too could eat around the clock. I would like to know why she is 4'9 and weighs 50 lbs. We tell her she has a hollow leg because we do not know where this food goes.. I can't wait to hear answers..

I am looking forward to hearing the answers to this as well..Kelton will eat anything that is not nailed down and I have had to put a lock on my pantry because someone keeps sneaking food

My son is also hungry all the time. When I question his D team about it they told me when the insulin is at it's peak it makes them feel hungry. This was also restated at diabetic camp. The timing is about right. I don't know how true it is, but anyway, I usually fix a half of a sandwich, usually PB, tuna, or grilled cheese. We use Sara Lee 45 cal. bread, so the carbs are only 9. This fills him up and it us under is snack ratio so we are fine.

I am also interested in how others handle it.

I was going to ask if maybe he's going thru a growth spurt, but it sounds like this might be more of a constant "problem".

Not to worry you, but I would feel bad if I didn't say it: I was told by my DD's friends mom that she was hungry a lot (w/ no weight gain) prior to her celiac dx. But you said you just had lab work done, right? I know very little about celiac, so i may be way off base on that one.

Let's go with my idea that its a growth spurt- more positive and more likely!:)
