Hi all..The last time I posted I was telling you that deanna was giving herself shots, and that she started Karate... both are going super well...she loves karate, she has lost 3 lbs, and I now have to ask her if I can give her a shot.:D
Now for the really great news...yesterday was her first endo appt. since comming home from the Childrens hospital..it was her 3 month appt.
when she was DX in July her A1C'S were at 9.8......drum rool please.........
She is at 5.7!!!!!!
She is still in her honnymoon...so I know that that # may change, but we were so excited ,as was her Endo.. , Deanna has done so well in controling her BG's. We have adapted to this new lifestyle, and are facing the challenges head on. So come on puberty....lets have at it...:p Deanna will be 11 in Jan. I know that her cycle is just around the corner..but we can take it.
Our endo talked to us about going on the pump..right now Deanna is on such a small ammount of Insulin that she said going on the pump now really isnt worth it..I agree, we will waite till she is needing more insulin, possible after she starts her cycle. anyway..sorry for the long post, but we were all so dang excited about the A1C # 5.7!!! holly cow!!
