Wow, it looks beautiful up there:) I'm glad you had a great time on your trip, except for the drive home, but good thing you reacted fast.

wanted to add another picture of the sunset.. this one was taken first and without the zoom on it.. it was dead low tied.. there is no ground at high tide..

So glad you got to go on this vacation, it looks beautiful. I don't post a lot on this site but I read it everyday. It doesn't take long to notice what an encouragment you are to people. Glad you were able to have some away time with your family and refresh - you deserve it.

wonderful pics! It was a great weekend to be away, that's for sure. I haven't been to Acadia since I was a child and the only memory I have is that my mom brought us all warm sweaters and we set off one day and it ended up getting very hot out and I had nothing under my sweater and she wanted me to just walk around with nothing on (I was about 7) because she figured no one would know I was a girl or not, I had super short hair (think 1970's pixie cut, only uglier) That's my one major memory of Cadillac mountain. lol.

Know what else is funny - your picture of Jaylin is exactly the same shot as on Acadia's website. lol.

thats so funny.. she loved walking on the top.. but there are a few places that the drop offs are pretty steep.. she made me nervous walking so close to them..they had a blast up there, even though they didn't think they would:)

My DH parents did this with my DH and BIL 3 different years, they took the entire summer and went around the country.. they've seen everything, except Alaska and Hawaii ... hoping we can do that with our kids in a few years...

Kim, the photos are beautiful! I always wanted to live in Maine. Growing up in Ohio, we vacationed on the coast many times and I always thought I would move there when I was old enough. How I ended up in land-locked Colorado, I'm not sure, but I sure miss the east coast! It looks like you had a wonderful time. It's always fun to get the kids out and explore new things.

hey I was in Maine this weekend, too....though...much more southern than you !! We were at the beach....my parents live in Saco....right between these two sections....the weather was awesome....I actually got a tan !! Water was real cold, though !!

You take beautiful photos. I need a camera like that! I was tearing up looking at your pictures because the last trip I took with my grandmother before she passed away was to Maine, and we went up to Cadillac Mountain. I took pictures from the same lookout points that you did. I forgot about that trip, and your pictures took me right back there. Sweet...
