Well, we did the news interview today and it was on this evenings news. If they put anything on their site about it, I'll post it here. But I was kinda disappointed that they didn't mention the symptoms. That was one of my main missions! They did however make sure people kew the difference between T1 & T2 and that T2 can be controlled w/ medication, diet and exercise and that T1 needs insulin. His endo. nurse came to my house and they interviewed her too. She told them the difference. They also showed Hunter checking his BS and spoke about how he has to have minimum of 6 shots per day. I stressed the need for a cure. The ADA walk is this Saturday for this area. Sadly, I didn't find out about it until a few weeks ago and didn't have a chance to raise money, but me and my boys will be walking and make a donation. BTW, they didn't put the part on where I mentioned my sisters shop and the 10% profits during Nov. to go to JDRF. Oh well, at least they did something for T1 around here for once!

Good Job Linda! I am glad that they were willing to do the story, and clarify the differences. Sorry it didn't go all the ways as you had hoped. Keep plucking away at it. You are making a huge difference!

That sounds great! I'm so glad people are getting the word out that T1 and T2 are two different diseases! I wish one of them would get a different name!

Linda, you did great. Any press gets the attention of the audience, so it's all good :). Thank you on behalf of all of us!

Good job.. I have been wanting to know how things went.. Sorry it was not exactly how you wanted, but hey from want you said you did great... I look at it this way.. people in teh T2 world are probly as feed up as we are sometimes for the same reason.. pure confusion between the 2.. this way people with get to knwo the diffrence

Great Job!!! I'm sorry they didn't get the symptoms out there, but at least they got some important information out!!!!
My experience so far is that between leading questions and editing you never know how an interview will end up. It can be a bit frustrating!!!
I'm sure many people learned from it!! :) :) :)

Hey Linda, great job. You got the news out there. You announced the walk. You gave a demonstration. Awesome job! Unfortunately, they do what they will do. But today you made a big difference. One day your son will look back at this moment and be in awe of what you are doing for him. There is not a comment missed that will change this moment for the two of you.
Thanks for all that you do! Good job Hunter.
God Bless! Tami
