This is a thread about a broadcast of CNN's The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer on May 20th. During the discussion, an analyst made unprecidented and disconcerting comments about Senator Clinton.
I am NOT looking to open a discussion of the candidates. But, by way of full disclosure, I am a supporter of Senator Clinton.
This is simply a heads up to anyone who perhaps heard some inkling about this or, shares my sense that no woman in America deserves to be so disrespected by a major news organization.
I'm linking the YouTube clip and a draft copy of my letter to CNN for anyone else interested in pursuing this with CNN.
AGAIN, I am not looking to debate either candidate or party. And I ask that any posts here respect that aim. But as a woman and as the mother of a girl I feel compelled to speak out and to advocate for women's basic right to be treated with a modicum of respect by an organization as influential as CNN.

Mr Klein,
Despite being disappointed in the reporting CNN has done during this Democratic Primary season, I continued, largely out of faith, to look to CNN for coverage of the candidates. However, what I witnessed on CNN during the May 20th broadcast of The Situation Room was truly beyond the pail.
The statements made by your commentator, Mr. Castellanos managed to surpass anything I have ever heard on a major news broadcast. I am appalled that CNN would, in the name of providing “political analysis” , tolerate such hateful and repulsive remarks about ANY woman. It is NEVER acceptable to use the term "b**ch" to describe a woman. Or to espouse the notion that some women “deserve” to be called such a name. I hold CNN accountable because you have provided Mr. Castallanos the forum to spew these unprofessional statements.
This is a grotesque insult to all women and you know as well as I that no “political analyst” would be allowed to rage against a black male candidate in any comparable manner.
Mr. Castallanos owes Hilary Clinton an apology. Mr. Castallanos owes the women of America an apology. And until I hear this, CNN will not be watched in my household. I assure you, I am not alone in this sentiment. CNN can do better than this. Indeed, Mr. Klein, you need to ensure that it does.
Awaiting your action,
Sarah R.
