today i went to see a doctor for this swelling in my upper arm. where the muscle is. and i am supposed to get an mri done. the doctor said it is probably a limpoma tumor. i am so scared. so so scared. :(

thank you all for you hugs and kind wishes. i have not had the mri yet. thank you for this info. it has made me feel alittle better. i have found other websites that mention cancer. so i was getting pretty scared. i will keep you informed when i get the news. again. thank you.:)

Hi Shirley,
Sending Prayers your way. I've got a question though. Have you had breast cancer in the past? I'm a 5 year survivor!!:D anyways. I also had several of my lymphnodes removed from my armpit to be checked. By having that done i was later dx'd with lymphodemia (not sure of the spelling) but this causes my upper arm to swell. Fells very hard at times, and sometimes causes my lower arm to swell too. This usually happens when i overwork it. I now wear a cuff on my arm to force the fluids out to reduce the swelling. Looks like a small pantyhose (one leg of a pantyhose) I don't wear it all the time. just when it is swollen.
Hope this helps. Mabe its just fluid retention in the arm and a cuff might help.
