The NASCAR Camping World East/West series was going on in Newton. The race on Sunday was awesome! We all had a great time! But the best part of all was when Morgan actually got to meet Kasey Kahne. YEAH! I didn't think we were even going to get his cap signed as things weren't working out.
We got in line for the autograph signing (which included all the drivers), but it was soooooo long, I didn't think we would get to the table where the drivers were. Then, the concert started and the major speakers were right next to the line we were waiting in. ARGH! I told Mike Morgan couldn't stay right next to those speakers. I went up to a security person and asked if we might wait somewhere else, but he was not sympathetic and said 'no.' So, we left the line and headed back to our seats. We happened to come across the drivers heading to the signing tables. So, I asked somebody official looking if they would just take Morgan's cap and have Kasey sign it and bring it back to us. This woman talked to someone else and they came back and told us if we would wait until the autograph signing was over Kasey would come and meet Morgan. WOW! Needless to say we waited and Kasey came over and talked to Morgan and patted him on the shoulder. While he was talking to Morgan, Morgan kept touching the bill of his cap with his thumb. I had to tell Kasey that Morgan wanted him to sign his cap. Kasey signed it, people all around us were taking pictures, there was quite a crowd.
