What does it taste like? I'm thinking of using it, and if you have recipies, please share. :)

LOL I have never tried it straight so I just went and had some.
It tastes like a mild version of ground flax. It's not too different from my olive oil except it tastes more "woodsy" than "olive-y". It's very hard to describe a taste :D
I use it in salad dressings either for all of the oil or 1/2 of it and I can't taste a difference between dressings made with flax and those made with olive oil. The taste is easily covered with other flavourings. I also put it in smoothies and again I can't taste it there either.
Not sure if that helps at all.

I don't drink it straight:p
I like to use it in "milkshakes" that include rice dream, soy milk, flax seed oil, almond butter, and berries (blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries are great) mixed in a blender. You can also add whey or protein powder if you need to. I don't have the exact portions, but I can say that you use only a few spoonfuls of the flax seed oil and almond butter. This isn't a low carb treat.

I think of it as kind of nutty.
We put it into smoothies. I like to use a green protein powder from the healthfood store with some frozen fruit (berries) and water or milk.

What protein powder do you use?
Thanks

Oh, I don't have any in the house right now...let me see if I can find it online to tell you the name. I have tried one AWFUL green protein powder! So I think I am sticking to the tried and true. I will check and let you know.
