View Full Version : When do you have time to watch TV?
I know about some of the shows posted, but honestly, I don't have time to watch TV! When do you do it? Do you Tivo?
Anyone else not a TV watcher? Seriously feeling like a cultural outcast here...:D

Not an outcast - I promise - the only show I make time for is LOST!!!! Otherwise, I have put my foot down to getting addicted to other shows! Every now and then, I can watch South Park cause kids are asleep and homework is done...

my kids have strict bedtimes, so after they go to bed I get some nice downtime.

I Tivo everything and after I drop Christian off at school I have a couple of hours to catch up on stuff. DH and I watch some shows together on the weekend. I have to get my daily fix of Ellen though. She makes me laugh and I need that every once in a while.

We record everything on DVR and watch between bedtime and 10pm (last BG check when everything is going smoothly:rolleyes:).

 Oh that is what that 32 inch LCD thing is..I could turn it on during the day, but I don't like the noise it makes so it is off..When Mark gets home from work it gets turned on and he watches it until we go to bed..On my down time I usually have a book in my face.
To be honest, if the television were to break I would not miss it. Mark and Kelton would die, but I would survive.:D

I rarely watch tv. I often have the food channel on when I'm working around the house on the weekends etc but rarely am I able to just SIT and watch it. Once or twice a week I might sit down in the evenings and watch a sitcom or something on the Discovery channel with dh.
However I do not have very much time to sit and relax and when I do, I prefer to read (nothing taxing though, I'm all about fluff) or get online.
I must say though that I used to watch more tv. Partly because I had more time and partly because that was pre reality tv. Dh and I just can't get into most reality tv shows.

DVR here too. I don't have many shows I keep up with but the DVR is really the best tech that my tech-happy DH has brought into the house in YEARS!;)

Former TV addict here...before the kids. Now, watching TV is rare, except for an occasional Nemo, Thomas the Engine
Oh, once in a while, I get to watch an Oprah show...about a week later than you guys...when it's not a rerun, which it usually is  and on occasion other silly shows.

My kids have set bedtimes, so I do my best to watch them then. Otherwise, when I have time I watch them online or watch what has been taped.

I DVR my shows and watch them either after everyone's gone to bed or in the morning when they have left for school. I have gotten so used to the DVR and FF'd through commercials, that it's hard for me to watch anything in "real time" anymore! :D

I try to watch my faves. Sunday night is Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters. Monday night is House and Medium, nothing on Tues. or Wed. Thurs. is Lost, nothing on Fri. and Sat. We try to rent a movie or two for Fri and Sat. night. All of them start at 9 p.m. or later and if I miss them I hate it, but life goes on. During the day, I couldn't care less about the t.v. and when it's nice enough outside (isn't it supposed to be warm and sunny out now?) that's where we are, but Sean likes Noggin and Nick Jr.

I have 3 DVR's in the house so I never miss anything LOL
I like Lost, House, most Bravo shows, I like reality TV
I was raised by a tv junkie and became one myself. I don't know what I would do without my DVR, now after the kids go to sleep I can watch tv and relax.

I usually fall asleep early 8ish (yes, I still lay down with my 2 year old to put her to sleep:p) then I usually wake back up around 11ish, can't go back to sleep so I watch tv from 11 - 3am most nights!!! I think I have seen every single episode of all the Law & Orders ever made at least 3 times each! Ashamed to say that one of my favorite late night shows is "Girls Next Door" on E!:o
